Three New Compact Codes of Practice - Consultation

The consultation period on the three remaining Compact Codes of Practice (Consultation, Community Groups, Partnership) began in Compact Week (November 2007) and has now been completed.

The purpose of the codes:

• Consultation- This Code of Practice aims to have a positive impact on the way in which the statutory sector consults on and appraises its policies in respect of the voluntary and community sector. It also offers best practice pointers for consultation within sectors.
• Community Groups - This Code of Practice aims to promote and support the work of the community sector in Devon.
• Partnership - This Code of Practice aims to have a positive impact on the way in which partnerships in Devon are established and organised in order to achieve their goals

These documents will be available to download from this website in May 2008.
