the partnership of CVS across Devon

Get involved

As part of the Devon Consortium's VCS Voice and Representation Project, there have been six 'Communities of Interest' established to create networks and enable information and communication to the voluntary and community sector, which will enable the VCS to influence the development of strategy and delivery of services through both the Devon Strategic Partnership and the Local Area Agreement at County and District Levels.

Being led by South Hams CVS, DACVS is leading on the following thematic groups: Healthy, Stronger and Safer Communities.
We are aiming to encourage local organisations to 'sign up' and get involved so that your views can be represented and that nominated representatives can liaise with you through our networks on issues and developments that could affect your organisation.

We aim not to bombard you with 'information overload' but instead to communicate with monthly/occasional specific email bulletins with feedback from representatives or events and news useful to your needs.
As your local CVS, we are often asked to inform and consult local voluntary and community organisations such as yourselves on specific issues or developments that need your voice too, so ensure that your local CVS knows about your organisation. We have established effective communication mechanisms enabling you to receive timely and relevant information and also hold local forums and/or networking events.
Even if you are already in contact with your local CVS, please spend a minute filling out the involvement form to update your details on how you would like to be consulted and/or represented.
