the partnership of CVS across Devon
This section will aim to give you feedback and updates on latest developments from VCS representatives who are on county partnerships.
Representatives listed below were nominated at the Devon Consortium meeting in June 2010. The Devon Consortium's Voluntary Voice project is currently coordinating countywide elections for the Voluntary and Community Sector to elect representatives for the various strategic groups and partnerships that are taking place. If you have questions or concerns about the work of a particular partnership then your VCS representative is the person to contact. When people become a representative they agree to feedback to the sector, through the newsletters and briefings and bulletins, and by attending relevant network meetings. Our DACVS 'Get involved' project enables representatives to contact those interested in that area. For example, before a partnership meeting, a rep might send out an email describing what the main issues on the agenda are and asking for any relevant thoughts, opinions and questions. Members of the community of interest are able to communicate with each other at the right time. Also, when the representatives return from the meetings these communication mechanisms allow them to quickly communicate any decisions made, or other important information.
By having effective representation it enables easier ways to target communication when we need to ask you about specific parts of the Local Area Agreement, or other things which could effect our sector.
